Music has always been a part of my life. I took organ lessons in grade school and played clarinet through middle school and high school. But I always dreamed of studying piano, and I was finally able to realize that dream as an adult. I have dedicated the past 15 years to playing piano, studying music theory, and continually improving my skills, technique, and artistry. For the past 12 years, I have studied with Seattle based concert pianist Jesse Myers, an active performer currently on the faculty of Cornish College of the Arts.
I have a Masters in Education from Seattle University, with a specialty in Adult Education. I continually seek out opportunities for professional development, and have taken courses in piano pedagogy focusing on young beginning learners and on the unique needs of adult learners.
