Music has always been a part of my life. I took organ lessons in grade school and played clarinet through middle school and high school. But I always dreamed of studying piano. It wasn't until adulthood that I was able to realize that dream. I have dedicated the past 15 years to playing piano, studying music theory, and continually improving my skills, technique, and artistry. For the past decade, I've studied with Seattle based concert pianist Jesse Myers, an active performer currently on the faculty of Cornish College of the Arts.
I have a Masters in Education from Seattle University, with a specialty in Adult Education. I continually seek out opportunities for professional development, and have taken courses in piano pedagogy focusing on young beginning learners and on the unique needs of adult learners.
